New source for AeroComm in the UK

AeroComm has signed an agreement for BFi Optilas to distribute its products in the UK.

AeroComm has signed an agreement for BFi Optilas to distribute its products in the UK.

The agreement offers a good "fit" for both companies; AeroComm as a specialist manufacturer of high-performance, cost effective, 2.4GHz spread spectrum, wireless communications products and BFi Optilas (an Avnet company) which is able to provide expert design engineering support plus immediate dispatch of products from its UK hub.

AeroComm modules provide a better fit for industrial OEM applications when compared with other wireless technologies such as 802.11, WLAN and Bluetooth.

WLAN technology requires the use of costly access points, as well as a computer operating system, in order to integrate.

Bluetooth has significant limitations in range and availability as well as sophisticated software requirements, complicating easy integration into industrial OEM applications.
