Controller powers up DDR memory
The AQ9260 is a two-output voltage controller that combines a switching and a linear regulator to provide both VDDQ core supply and VTT bus termination voltages for DDR-SDRAM devices.
The AQ9260 is a two-output voltage controller that combines a switching and a linear regulator to provide both VDDQ core supply and VTT bus termination voltages for DDR-SDRAM devices.
The AQ9260 simplifies power management design while providing high performance, high density and low cost.
The high efficiency synchronous buck controller for VDDQ and MCH features Constant on-time regulation to simplify loop compensation and provide excellent transient response.
Loss-less mosfet on-resistance current sensing and overcurrent protection maximises efficiency.
The VDDQ supply has a selectable power-save mode that minimises battery drain during low output current operation.
The linear VTT supply is a low dropout (LDO) regulator with integrated mosfets, and is capable of sourcing or sinking up to 3A peak current for the VTT termination voltage of DDR memory.
VTT tracks at half VDDQ.
This versatile device is designed for a wide range of compact, high-performance applications using MCH and DDR memory.
The AQ9260 is packaged in an MLP-32 package, priced at $1.00 each, 1000-off.
Evaluation boards are available.
