Combining a compact and lightweight construction with low power operation, Hitachi's new family of 3.8in quarter-VGA monochrome LCD modules are ideal for battery-powered and portable applications.

Combining a compact and lightweight construction with low power operation, Hitachi's new family of 3.8in quarter-VGA monochrome LCD modules are ideal for battery-powered and portable applications such as instrumentation, data-logging and measurement devices.

The new Hitachi family includes the transmissive SP10Q010, which provides optimum optical performance in indoor and low ambient light environments, and the transflective SP10Q010-T, a sunlight readable display suitable for use in outdoor or high ambient light environments.

Providing resolutions of 320 x 240 pixel, the displays implement a high brightness, low power white LED backlight with a brightness of 110cd/m2.

The latest improvements in film STN technology ensure a high contrast "black on white" display image, while a wide temperature range liquid crystal fluid delivers an operating temperature range of -20 to +70C.

A COG (chip on glass) construction ensures an extremely compact, lightweight and durable display module.

To assist engineers that are implementing complex man-machine interfaces, Arrow can also offer versions of the new Hitachi display technology that feature four-wire analogue resistive touchscreens.
