Arrow Electronics has a family of compact, highly integrated and power-efficient PC Card controllers that will help designers to lower component count, save space and reduce power consumption.
A key factor behind the signing of the Nordic deal is the success of the UK franchise distribution agreement between Knitter-Switch and Arrow Electronics.
This agreement was signed in 1998, and since then Arrow has delivered year-on-year sales growth for Knitter-Switch product throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Arrow will now have access to the full Knitter-Switch range, including DIL switches, toggle switches, pushbuttons, slide switches and both rotary and rotary coded products, throughout northern Europe.
Discussing the extension of the two companies' successful relationship, Chris McAneny, Northern European Marketing Director for Arrow, comments: "The combination of the comprehensive Knitter-Switch product range and the company's commitment to high levels of service and support has helped Arrow to deliver dramatic sales growth in the UK and Ireland.
The new agreement allows us to repeat this success in the Nordic region and to target customers and sectors that, to date, we have not been able to cover with existing product lines".
Terry Moss, General Manager for Knitter-Switch, adds: "We see significant potential for our products in the Nordic countries.
Extending our agreement with Arrow to cover Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and the Baltic States, supports our objectives by providing a proven and technically capable channel-to-market in the region".
