Anderson Power Products has added new press-fit, solderless contacts to its popular PowerMod family of products.

Anderson Power Products has added new press-fit, solderless contacts to its popular PowerMod family of products.

The press-fit concept enables a solder-free connection to the PCB, and the unique "flat rock" design means no special tooling is required for pressing the connectors into the PCB.

APP's press-fit contacts are available for both straight-through male and female connectors.

Based on compliant termination, these contacts are designed for two ranges of PCB thickness of 2.4 to 4.5 and 4.5 to 6.5mm.

Nonstandard sizes are also available.

PowerMod press-fit connectors from APP provide very low-contact resistance and are UL listed to 23A per circuit for board-to-board applications and 25A per circuit in board-to-cable applications.

PowerMod solder and crimp connectors are fully compatible and intermateable with APP's new press-fit contacts.
