Artesyn Technologies has introduced the SIP20C series of 20W high-efficiency, wide output trim range, single-output, open-frame, non-isolated DC/DC converters As next-generation communications and networking systems move to low-voltage silicon, system designers need power solutions that can compensate for anticipated changes in IC voltages

The wide output trim range of the SIP20C is best-of-class and offers the system designer unprecedented flexibility in designing systems capable of accommodating future advances in low voltage silicon.

Designed for a variety of applications, the SIP20C is ideally suited for computing and networking systems as well as communications products and systems employing a distributed power architecture.

It can also be used to extend the lifetime of systems employing centralised architectures supplying power at 5V.

The series is built in the industry standard (2.5 x 0.55 x 0.23-inch) footprint and is fully compatible with the older SIP20 model.

It is available in output ranges of 3.3V, 2.5V, and 1.5V, with a 5V (4.5V-5.5V) input range.

Users can draw up to 6A from each model in the series.

Additionally, the SIP20C offers over-current protection, over-temperature protection, and remote on/off.

The SIP20C has an open-frame construction and a wide ambient temperature range of -25 to 85 degrees Celsius with 300 LFM forced air.

The SIP20C also carries full international safety approvals, reducing compliance cost and time-to-market.
