Nolan has extensive experience of the electronics industry, having held senior management positions in sales and marketing with a number of leading power supply manufacturers over the past 16 years.
Immediately prior to joining Artesyn, he was Vice President of North American Sales and Marketing for Celetron USA, an electronics manufacturing service provider which last year acquired the power supply company, EOS Corp.
"Steve's track record in strategic sales management is impressive, and his knowledge and expertise will be a considerable asset to Artesyn", said Ken Blake, Artesyn's President of Worldwide Marketing and Standard Product Development.
"We have a particularly aggressive R and D program for power conversion products, and despite the current downturn in the electronics industry we are seeing a considerable number of new design-ins, which positions us well for the future.
Steve's prime focus will be on further expanding our customer base and increasing market share, to help achieve Artesyn's strategic long-term business objective of dominance in the global communications marketplace".
Nolan is a graduate of Stonehill College, North Easton, MA, and holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
He is a member of the PSMA (Power Sources Manufacturers Association) and will be based at Artesyn's facilities in Framingham, MA.
