Artesyn Technologies will be showcasing its new line of ultra-low-profile, high-power DC/DC convertors at APEC 2003 These latest-generation isolated-output convertors employ highly innovative - patent pending - power conversion technology, and establish new performance benchmarks for the industry

The first products in the series include a single-output eighth-brick capable of delivering 40A at 1.8V DC, and two dual-output quarter bricks that can deliver up to 20A per channel at 90% efficiency.

All three convertors have an exceptionally low profile of just 7.7mm.

Artesyn has continued to invest heavily in advanced R and D during the industry downturn, to the effect that the company has launched 75 new products over the past year.

The majority of these are targeted specifically at distributed power applications, and include a wide range of nonisolated point-of-load (POL) DC/DC convertors for both telecoms and enterprise applications, including specific solutions to power microprocessors and memory.

The company will be showing a selection of these latest-generation POL convertors at APEC 2003, including the recently launched DDR12 product, which is the industry's first dual-output nonisolated POL convertor for DDR-SDRAM.

Booth 300 will also feature a wide selection of Artesyn's latest power conversion products, including 20 different brick type surface-mount and pin-through-hole DC/DC convertors, and ten AC/DC power supplies, including a front-end supply for systems employing distributed power architectures.
