Meeting UL60601-1 and other rigorous international medical safety requirements, these new modules are aimed at the needs of designers of electronic equipment in medical applications requiring a safe, compact and adaptable power solution.
The Astec LPS50-M Series offers a flexible choice of input ranges of either 127 to 300V DC (wide range) or 90 to 264V AC, making these open frame power supplies an ideal choice for medical applications requiring deployment worldwide.
With a compact footprint only 2 x 4in, the LPS50-M is one of the smallest units available in this power range.
A height of just 1.3in also makes the LPS50-M a perfect fit in 1U rack configurations.
In spite of the small size, the modules offer high efficiency operation, as well as overload, overvoltage, short circuit and thermal protection.
They also include built-in Class B EMI filtering and a green LED to indicate when power is on.
The units demonstrate a mean time between failures (MTBF) greater than 550,000 hours at full load in 25C ambient conditions and are designed to meet EN61000-x susceptibility requirements.
The unit complies with worldwide safety and performance standards from UL, CSA, VDE, and CE as well as international standby standards for environmental innovation and energy saving.
