Available now from Articulation, the TempTell Reflower is a low-cost prototype SMT reflow oven controller, which lists for just US $349.95 The TempTell Reflower controls a standard toaster oven to perform prototype and small batch surface mount solder reflowing operations

TempTell Reflower can control ovens rated up to 1800W or 15A.

The reflow temperature profile is customisable through its RS232 interface to fit the user's requirements.

TempTell Reflower comes with a 36in bare junction thermocouple and an RS232 cable for connection to a PC.

TempTell Reflower can perform three types of cycles: preheat cycle gets the oven up to temperature; reflow cycle runs the oven through the predefined temperature profile; and the bake cycle can be used to drive the moisture from moisture-sensitive components.

TempTell Reflower will accept commands through its RS232 port to set the parameters for the programmable temperature profile.

The following parameters can be set: bake temperature, bake time, cooling time, drying temperature, drying slope, drying time, hysteresis, preheat temperature, reflow temperature, reflow slope and reflow time.
