An Astrodyne product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Jul 1, 2008

22 models are available that provide output power of 30W, with single, dual and triple outputs from 5 to 48V DC.

Designed to meet the power and EMC performance requirements in instrumentation, control and telecommunication systems, Astrodyne has added 30W units to its popular ECA Series of ultraminiature encapsulated switching power supplies.

The ECA30 series accepts universal inputs from 90-264V AC and 22 models are available that provide output power of 30W, with single, dual and triple outputs from 5 to 48V DC.

The new ECA30 Series provides economical power, and all devices are pinout and size compatible with more costly encapsulated modules.

The ECA30 Series will operate over the ambient temperature range of -10 to +50C without forced cooling or output power derating.

All models contain internal input filtering, overvoltage and short circuit protection circuitry.

The ECA30 Series is both RoHS 2002/95/EC compliant and fully approved to UL/EN60950-1 safety specifications; EMC compliance is to EN60601-1-2:2001.

For medical applications the series is also available in medically approved EMA30 versions to UL/EN60601-1 safety levels.

Dimensions are as small as 89 x 63.5 x 25mm, and all models are designed for pin mount PCB plug-in or screw terminal chassis mounting.

Prices start at US $63 in OEM quantities with delivery times of stock to 6 weeks ARO.
