Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Nov 19, 2008

Astrodyne has announced an expanded series of 100W to 150W desktop-style external switching power adapters suitable for use with microcomputers, desktop peripherals, printers and test equipment.

The ASA100/120/150 series offers single outputs in voltages that range from 12 to 48V DC.

All units accept a universal input of 90 to 264V AC.

These adapters provide line/load regulation of 0.5/5 per cent respectively, low ripple/noise of 1.5 per cent (typical), overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and over temperature protection, and exhibit operating efficiencies of up to 94 per cent.

The output connection is made via a standard Din plug with other connections available upon request.

The ASA100/120/150 series provides input-to-output isolation of 3000V AC.

The adapters meet CEC Level V Standards, are fully UL, CSA, and TUV safety certified and also meet FCC Part 15/Level B EMI/RFI requirements.
