The company, which earlier this year announced the delivery of right-first-time first silicon for its VLSI Associative String Processor (VASP), is developing its US operational base in time for the introduction of its 'Linedancer' chip later this year.
Apfel, who has close to 18 years of experience in management, worldwide sales and marketing, strategic planning and business develop, will report to John Lancaster, chief executive officer of Aspex Technology.
He will be responsible for establishing Aspex' presence in the United States, along with identifying and managing strategic business relationships, early customer engagements and fund raising.
