Assembleon has received its fourth annual Service Excellence Award in the pick-and-place equipment category, presented by Circuits Assembly Magazine.

On the eve of the official opening of APEX 2005, Assembleon received its fourth annual Service Excellence Award in the pick-and-place equipment category, presented by the sponsor of the event, Circuits Assembly Magazine The Award recognises suppliers who achieve the highest ratings in five service categories: dependability, ease of use, responsiveness, technology, and value for price

Each candidate company submitted a list of 10 customers for assessment on a scale of one to five in each category, and Assembleon won the award with four maximum scores and an average score of 4.96.

The average score for other pick-and-place manufacturers was 4.85.

The high Assembleon score also compares favourably with the average score of 4.60 seen in the other equipment categories - materials, rework/repair, test and inspection, dispensing and screen printing.

Cor Scholten, CEO Assembleon comments: "The scores clearly show that Assembleon is the best of the best among electronics manufacturing equipment suppliers".

"We're delighted with the result, which is testament to a tremendous team effort".

This is Assembleon's second major award within a few days.

In May, the company will receive the Frost and Sullivan 2005 Surface Mount Technology Product of the Year Award for its A-series pick-and-place platform.

"Winning commendations for both product and service excellence in successive years demonstrates Assembleon's outstanding success in gauging the evolving needs of electronics manufacturers, and in optimising all aspects of its business to satisfy them".
