Thermistor sensor shrinks for medical
devices
At just 0.5mm diameter by 2.3mm long, the Fmicro thermistor sensor is designed primarily for medical applications.
Available now from ATC Semitec, the Fmicro is a microminiature thermistor sensor designed primarily for medical applications Using Semitec's latest FT thin-film technology combined with laser-trimming techniques, the Fmicro thermistor sensor is only 0.5mm diameter by 2.3mm long
The Fmicro is based on one of the company's smallest FT thermistors encapsulated in a polyamide tube and fitted with 38AWG insulated leads.
The Fmicro is accurate to +/-0.2 degrees at 37C and is small enough to be incorporated within a catheter probe for internal body temperature measurement.
The operating temperature range is -10 to +70C.
