Telephony and speech developers now have a further compelling option for building applications with a large number of ports.

A new high-density bundle combines Aculab's Prosody DSP resource card and VBVoice 5.0 from Pronexus, allowing developers to build sophisticated and highly scalable telephony and speech applications - rapidly and economically.

By combining all the necessary hardware, software and licences at an attractive price, Aculab and Pronexus have made it even easier to begin developing CT solutions.

Using VBVoice and Prosody, developers can create a wide array of high-density solutions such as prepaid calling systems, call centres, call hosting, IVR systems, speech enabled auto attendants, voice mail and fax applications.

A full scale T1 module allows connection to any network or branch exchange and all the DSP resources you need.

Developers can take maximum advantage of VBVoice's modularity feature to deploy larger or mission critical telephony applications.

For example, call hosting with multiple, independent IVR applications can be realised on the same telephony hardware.

Designing for the best cost/functionality balance is also a key consideration for speech technology applications.

The combination of Prosody and VBVoice is ideal in this respect.

All of the complex issues associated with development are taken care of by VBVoice while Prosody provides all of the DSP resources and the protocol support needed for worldwide deployment.

In addition to the Prosody DSP platform, VBVoice also supports Aculab's IP telephony PCI card, which developers can access like any other telephony card.

This makes it easy to leverage existing IVR or unified messaging applications with IP telephony.

The high-density bundle is available now from Pronexus.
