Prosody can also be used with any Envox-supported text-to-speech (TTS) and automated speech recognition (ASR) engine.
Additionally, the Envox media streaming feature, which converts arbitrary audio media sources (eg wav or MP3 files) to Prosody format, is supported as is Envox 6 VoiceXML Studio.
Envox 6.2 is an open, standards-based communications development platform with integrated application development and management components that reduce the time, cost and complexity of creating voice solutions.
Envox 6 allows customers to continue to leverage their investments in legacy hardware, software and solution development, while providing a smooth migration path to new standards and emerging technology, including speech, VoiceXML, VoIP and Web services.
Together, Prosody and Envox 6.2 enable a wide array of high density, scalable and effective CT-based voice, fax, speech and conferencing applications that deliver significant price and performance benefits.
These include interactive voice response (IVR), enhanced self-service, automated directory assistance, alerts and notifications, mobile Internet, voice portals, voice-enabled CRM and unified communications.
IP protocols such as SIP and the wide range of E1 and T1 protocols and approvals available from Aculab enable the rapid development of Envox-based voice solutions for global deployment.
The telephony driver for Envox 6.2 is now available via the Aculab installation tool (AIT) from the software downloads page on Aculab's website.
