DSP card powers high-throughput fax gateway
TIM Maxitel has improved office productivity and increased fax transmission capacity by more than three times thanks to an integrated fax server solution developed by Aculab partner Voice Technology.

Aculab's telephony interface manager (TIM), which has been certified by Microsoft, gives developers access to the reliability and price performance offered by Aculab's media processing resource card, Prosody.
Speaking about this announcement, Faye McClenahan, Head of Strategic Marketing at Aculab said: "We are pleased to announce our continued support for the Microsoft Speech Server platform".
"Our ongoing co-operation with Microsoft means that developers can continue to use Aculab's proven media resource card, Prosody, with Microsoft's award winning platform".
Prosody provides media processing resources for operation of the MSS and its primary rate trunk module enables digital network connectivity.
compared with traditional speech cards (high per channel cost, multiple APIs, limited functionality), Prosody is an excellent investment, with Aculab's media processing resources, and the Aculab TIM, provided via a cost free licence.
This best places Prosody to help achieve the objective to lower the total cost of ownership for speech enabled solutions, as set out by Microsoft.
The digital network access capability of Aculab's Prosody card is used to connect MSS 2007 to enterprise voice networks.
For solution providers who are planning to deploy their MSS 2007 solution internationally, selecting Aculab for its protocol coverage presents a wealth of additional benefits and includes both E1 and T1 interface connections.
