Industry's first 8-channel audio analyser
Audio Precision has introduced the APx585, the world's first audio analyser with eight simultaneous channels of analogue I/O.
The updates in functionality and connectivity ensure AP instruments will continue to be the industry standard in audio test as more engineers and product line testers move to laptops rather than tower computers for instrument control.
In addition, the AP Test Signals and Resource Disc reference CDs have been revamped for the release with new tones and sample tests to make hundreds of audio tests faster and easier.
USB will now be the standard interface for all new 2700 Series and ATS-2 analysers.
Current customers can buy a USB adapter kit separately (the current APIB interface will remain available as an option).
All analysers in the APx family of analysers are already USB enabled and Vista compliant.
"The 2700 is our flagship and we'll continue to make improvements in hardware and software", says Bruce Hofer, Chairman and cofounder of Audio Precision.
"With USB and Vista support, customers can use the latest laptops with our analysers, making their test set up much more portable and allowing much greater convenience and productivity".
AP2700 v3.30 and ATS v1.60 control software update will be available as a free download from the Audio Precision website from 15th August 2007.
The USB adapter (Part number USB-APIB) will be available from 1st September 2007 and will ship standard with all new 2700 Series and ATS-2 audio analysers.
Customers can also purchase the USB adapter separately in an upgrade kit (Part number USB-APIB-KIT; list price US $650).
