Entridia has endorsed Avant!'s SinglePass tool suite, calling it "the best in its class".

David Peeters, Entridia's vice president, LSI Engineering said, "We have used Avant!'s SinglePass tool suite including place and route, timing optimisation, and extraction because we believe it is the best in its class.

We recently tested successful first pass silicon for our wire speed OC-48 packet classification engine.

This 12M-gate device was fabricated at TSMC using their 0.15-micron process.

We pushed the limits of all the tools to successfully complete this 60M transistor design".

Since 1997, Entridia has launched successful wire speed packet processing ASIC chipsets for both OC-3 and OC-48 applications and will release the industries first OC-192 classification engine in Q1.

Commenting on Entridia's use of Avant!'s tools, Peeters added, "Our company relies on the ability to choose the best among various products in the EDA industry.

Without choice, we would not have the flexibility and ability to innovate that we must have to succeed".

Dr Paul Lo, Avant!'s president said, "We are very pleased to receive this endorsement of our SinglePass tool suite from Entridia.

It affirms our strategic focus on providing our customers with the best technologies so that they can succeed.

We look forward to a long partnership with Entridia".

Entridia's Peeters said, "Avant! technology is critical to our business success.

We want to continue to work with Avant!, so that we can all enjoy access to the best products the market has to offer".
