iS3 takes Astro to become Avant! design centre

Integrated Semiconductor Supply Solutions (iS3) has selected Astro, Avant!'s solution for ultra-deep-submicron (UDSM) physical design closure.

As part of the SinglePass-SoC design-closure solution, Astro enables us to meet the challenges of large, system-on-chip (SoC) designs while maintaining high-quality, quick-turnaround-time project delivery to meet customers' aggressive time-to-market schedules".

Astro provides advanced physical optimisation, place and route capability in Avant!'s Milkyway-based, SinglePass-SoC design closure solution.

With breakthrough Astro technologies, PhiSiSys optimisation and the Milkyway-DUO architecture, iS3 is assured of rapid convergence of key design parameters, such as timing, clock, area, power and signal integrity, on its multi-million-gate, SoC designs at 0.13 microns and below.
