Avant! goes further with Grace

Avant! Has expanded its strategic alliance with Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp (GSMC) to include library solutions for advanced technology designs using 0.25 to 0.13-micron technologies.

Avant! will provide both Libra-Visa (GSMC timing specific) and Libra-Passport (multi-foundry access) digital design libraries for GSMC.

The libraries will be silicon-validated, compatible with Avant!'s Milkyway-based, SinglePass-SoC flow, and optimised for SoC designs at GSMC's China fabrication facility.

The Libra-Visa and Libra-Passport libraries will include standard cells, noise-quieting I/Os, and memory compilers that are ideal for SoC applications in graphics, multimedia, and telecommunications.

The Libra libraries plug-in-play into the Avant! Milkyway-based, SinglePass-SoC design solution and also provide required support for other EDA tool solutions.

An extensive quality assurance programme is combined with a comprehensive silicon validation program to ensure manufacturability.

Avant! will provide customer support for the libraries.
