Niobium oxide capacitors cut resistance in half

An AVX product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Jun 21, 2006

Low-ESR niobium oxide capacitors are suitable for applications in telecommunication and networking.

Capacitor and connector manufacturer AVX has extended its niobium oxide range of capacitors by producing a low ESR model, the tier 3 NOS series.

Equivalent series resistance of the new D case capacitors has been reduced to below 35mohm from a previous 70mohm, with a capacitance of 470uF and a voltage range between 2.5 and 6.3V.

Niobium oxide capacitors are known for their safety, nonsmoke, high-reliability and lead-free process compatibility features.

The low ESR NOS series of niobium oxide capacitors is suitable for applications in telecommunication and networking.
