Coupler improves power amplifier gain control
High-directivity coupler is designed to improve power amplifier gain control in various wireless systems including cellular and WiMAX system transmitters.
The CP0402P from AVX is an ultra-tight-tolerance high-directivity coupler designed to improve power amplifier (PA) gain control in various wireless systems including cellular and WiMAX system transmitters.
This new series provides directivity as high as 20-27dB and a +/-0.5dB coupling factor tolerance in a miniature 0402 case size.
This is more than double the directivity and half the coupling factor tolerance of competing devices in the market.
This superior level of device performance has been made possible thanks to new patented RFAP technology and design which enables improved design and production accuracy.
The couplers are manufactured with land grid array terminations which provide low parasitics to improve system design performance and are therefore suitable for power control applications for example transmitters in WiMAX and WiBro systems.
