TACT switches slim to compact applications
Alps Electric has released the industry's thinnest double-action TACT switches for applications such as shutter buttons for digital still and video cameras.
Furthermore, the sockets have a shielded cover and a camera module detaching function for easy handling.
A mechanical locking mechanism is integrated to prevent the camera module from falling while in operation.
The SCKA series is remarkable for their small dimensions of only 10.0 x 10.0 x 3.4mm.
This compact size is the result of a thin-walled design based on the use of Alps' proprietary thin body-forming molding and high-precision processing technologies.
The high-precision connectors are rated for voltages of 5V DC and up to 0.1A per pin and allow up to 10 mating and unmating cycles.
They feature a maximum initial contact resistance of 100mohm, an insulation resistance of up to 1Gohm and a voltage proof of 100V AC for 1min.
The operating temperature ranges from -25 to +85C.
The connectors are suitable for automatic mounting and are packaged on embossed tape.
They are available in minimum packing units of 1000 pieces.
