In many situations, "pulling the plug" can have potentially disastrous consequences.

To combat this, Plug Guard features a simple but effective locking device, which stops inadvertent disconnection of patch cords from outlets and patch panels by preventing access to the data plug release latch.

The only way to release the plug from the socket is with the special Plug Guard key, which can be retained by the network manager.

Suitable for use with any RJ45 plug and easily retrofitted to most Unilan Ultimax faceplates and patch panels, the Plug Guard is available in three different colours allowing easy differentiation between voice and data systems.

For companies which do not need to replace all the outlets in their network system, AX distribution also stock the Unilan Ultimax Safe Clip - a data plug mounted device that prevents the plug release latch from being operated when connected to any RJ45 data socket - together with Unilan Ultimax patch panels and the revolutionary new Flapjack low angle outlet module.
