SBCs target entry-level applications
Two new fanless 3.5in embedded platforms answer continuing demands for low-power entry-level SBCs.
In response to continuing demands for low-power entry-level SBCs, Axiomtek has developed a pair of fanless 3.5in embedded platforms, the SBC84400 and SBC84401, based on low-power 133MHz STPC Consumer II and STPC Elite processors, respectively Each device can be used for a wide array of applications, ranging up to industrial automation or harsh environmental applications
Both the SBC84400 and SBC84401 have 32Mbyte SDRAM onboard and one DIMM socket for up to 128Mbyte of system memory.
Other onboard features include a fast Ethernet port, four COM ports (COM 2 as RS232/422/485 via jumper selection), and one parallel port.
In addition, PC/104+ and PC/104 connectors are provided for further expansion.
The boards required only a single +5V power input, and can be used with DiskOnChip or CompactFlash storage media.
