Platform optimised to control network
appliances
The NA-1531 network appliance platform supports new generation Intel Pentium 4 processors (Prescott) with Intel 875 North Bridge chipsets.
Everybody knows that networking bandwidth has increased, and that data transactions have become bigger To meet the critical demand for hardware platforms that are able to handle this type of bandwidth, Axiomtek has released an extreme networking appliance hardware platform solution

Pentium 4-based SBC has power to burn
The SBC81827 is a standard full-size single board computer powered by a Pentium 4 CPU, with advanced features like optional SCSI, CompactFlash, Gigabit Ethernet and USB ports.
The platform is optimised for datacommunications.
The Ethernet port configurations and combinations can be changed to fit different customer requirements accordingly.
The NA-1531 supports a LAN-bypass feature for abnormal status.
It can support different bypass levels such as power, BIOS boot, OS and application program failures.
The software provider can elect to keep connections between two specific network segmentations if the device fails.
To offload tasks from the CPU and speed up VPN encryption/decryption performance, the NA platform also features one PCI-X 64bit/66MHz slot for VPN encryption boards or any compatible feature card expansions.
The baseboard can optimise the process performance through a VPN adapter card hardware engine.
In general, the NA-1531 can support DES, Triple-DES, AES encryptions, public key computations and other security protocol operations.
Powerful enclosure management features, including BIOS redirection to console port, LCM settings, and more, have been implemented so users can keep and manage their data easily.
Other optional features such as SMBus EEPROM are available as firmware upgrades from the software provider.
For system logins with monitoring and building control proxy, the NA-1531 has space for a 2.5in hard drive for software porting by software solution providers.
The baseboard has two serial ATA and two 44-pin IDE connectors built-in, so customers can use the serial ATA hard disks internally.
The embedded OS can be stored on DOM (Disk on Module) and/or CF (CompactFlash).
Other accessories are available such as a Mini PCI VGA module (AX92101) which can be used through the main board's Mini-PCI slot.
This module allows customers to use displays when needed.
The platform can be used in harsh environments, and promises higher performance when compared with traditional Pentium 4 platforms.
