Cost-effective low-power-consumption Mini ITX motherboard is based on AMD Geode LX family processors.

New from Axiomtek, the SBC86620 is a cost-effective low-power-consumption Mini ITX motherboard based on AMD Geode LX family processors.

It uses the AMD Geode CS5536 chipset, which is optimised to work with the AMD Geode LX 800 processor and gives users a complete high performance processing solution.

The 170 x 170mm from factor embedded SBC offers great performance at low power for embedded communications and automation applications, extending battery life for mobile applications, and delivering full x86-based functionality.

The SBC86620 provides a USB DiskOnModule (DOM) interface for embedded OS storage and booting.

The DIMM socket supports a single 184-pin module up to 1Gbyte.

This function-rich Mini ITX SBC supports CRT and LCD displays, two Fast Ethernet interfaces for network communication (Gigabit Ethernet in option), six USB 2.0 ports for high speed peripherals, and eight channels of digital I/O for industrial control applications.

Other onboard features include AC97 audio codec, a PCI expansion interface via a riser card and four COM ports for industrial peripherals.

The RoHS compliant product will be available around the end of February 2007.
