Axiomtek has released the MPC170-831-DC-FL, an ultra slim medical-grade panel computer with a 17in high brightness (420 nits) SXGA LCD.

The MPC170-831-DC-FL is powered by a fanless low voltage Intel Core2 Duo L7400 1.5G processor or ultra low voltage Intel Celeron M 423 1.06G processor to minimise thermal emissions.

Its fanless design and waterproof enclosure (front panel: IP65, whole enclosure: IPx1) allow this medical panel PC to operate reliably and quietly.

The computer is equipped with an ATX150W 24VDC power supply (18VDC to 36VDC input) via DC-jack, making it easier to apply in a range of medical fields.

It is suited for POC (point of care), remote monitoring and healthcare terminals (Telemedicine).

Powered by the Intel 945GME Express chipset with Intel GMA 950, the MPC170-831-DC-FL features excellent graphic performance with graphic memory up to 224MB and supports dual view display with resolution up to 1280 x 1024 pixels.

It features up to 4GB of DDR2 400/533/667 system memory and dual gigabit Ethernet ports for full speed 1000 Base-T networking connectivity.

The MPC170-831-DC-FL supports a PCI interface for expansion, a slim Combo drive (optional), and an internal antenna for wireless (802.11b/g) expansion.

Other I/O advantages include three COM ports, four USB 2.0 ports, VGA connector, Line-out/Mic-in, two Firewire (IEEE 1394a), and PS/2.

Mounting options include VESA ARM and desktop.

The MPC170-831-DC-FL is certified with medical certifications UL60601-1 and EN60601-1 and is CE and FCC class B certified to meet medical grade approval standards.
