Axiomtek has introduced the SHB101, its first quad-core PICMG 1.3 full-size CPU card.

Powered by the Intel Core2 Quad processor in LGA775 package with an 800/1066/1333 MHz FSB, the SHB101 offers high density and good power efficiency, making it ideal for telecom, visual inspection, digital surveillance and ATM systems.

The card has an Intel Q35 Express chipset and can support up to eight Gbit of DDR2 DIMM memory.

The integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 provides enhanced graphics and 3D performance with a maximum dedicated frame buffer video memory of up to 256MB.

The SHB101 also comes with Intel Core2 Duo and Celeron CPU.

This low power slot CPU card offers four PCI, four PCIe x1 or one PCIe x4, and one PCIe x16 routed to the backplane.

The SHB101 supports six Serial ATA high-speed data transferring at up to 3GB/s for abundant data storage and ten USB 2.0 ports for system integration.

Networking is provided by two Intel 82573L Gbit LAN interfaces.

Other I/O features include two COM ports (1 x RS-232 and 1 x RS-232/422/485), two five-pin wafer connectors for PS/2 mouse and keyboard, one VGA port and one parallel port.

The built-in watchdog timer keeps systems running smoothly.

The SHB101 is fully compatible with Axiomtek's PICMG 1.3 full-size passive backplanes.

It will be available in October.
