Axon' Cable has now been placed on the QPL-83513 list and is now officially certified to produce its Micro-D 0.05in pitch connectors according to the specifications of MIL-DTL-83513.

Axon' Cable has now been placed on the QPL-83513 list and is now officially certified to produce its Micro-D 0.05in pitch connectors according to the specifications of MIL-DTL-83513/01, /02, /03, /04, /06, /07, /08 and /09.

This QPL approval enables the company to widen its product range and to do business with military companies throughout the world that require this type of certification.

By its very design, the Micro-D connector system meets requirements such as resistance to vibrations and shocks, robustness, durability, low contact resistance, and dielectric strength.

All of the company's MIL-qualified products use a highly reliable twist-pin technology.

The connectors are half the size of those more commonly used (D-sub connectors), and are an ideal choice for severe operating conditions where weight saving, miniaturisation or signal transmission integrity are paramount.

Such conditions are generally seen in aerospace, military, industrial, medical or offshore applications.

As a specialist in advanced interconnect solutions, Axon' has offered a complete Micro-D range of printed circuit board connectors and harnesses for more than 10 years.

It manufactures key components of Micro-D connectors including twist-pin contacts, insulators, and seals, and also produces specialised wires and cables as well as complete cable assemblies.

The company can offer complete solutions to companies seeking to solve problems like electromagnetic interference and can create ruggedised harnessing for severe environments.
