Advantech, industrial computer manufacturer and automation innovator, releases its PICMG-3.1-compliant PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC), the MIC-3665.
Wall mountable node solution has high capacity
Advantech has launched the IPC-7220 industrial computer chassis, the next-generation wall-mountable industrial node solution with high capacity for ATX motherboards.
The PCM-9370F has been designed for easy configuration and enables engineers to achieve straightforward upgrade of their Pentium systems to Pentium III level.
Despite its minimal dimensions, the PCM-9370F has a powerful standard specification that includes a 64Mbyte system memory, 256Kbyte Flash memory and CompactFlash card support.
Further support for up to two enhanced IDE devices is also provided.
An onboard SMI Lynx 721 4Mbyte, or 8Mbyte optional, chipset enables the SBC to be interfaced with various displays including 18 to 48bit TFT LCDs or CRTs and LCDs under Windows 98/NT/2000.
Advantech has given the PCM-9370F a high degree of flexibility by incorporating numerous interfaces: ISAbus and PCIbus expansion capability is given by a PC/104 connector, and a 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet interface is provided by an onboard RJ45 connector.
Additionally there are two USB ports, two FDD interfaces and a single parallel port.
Serial data interfacing is provided by one RS232 and one RS232/422/485 port.
The PCM-9370F requires a single +5V power supply and features LongRun Technology that dynamically adjusts processor clock speed and voltage depending on workload.
When coupled with Crusoe chip support, gives the computer a power consumption figure of just 10.7W.
The design of the Transmeta Crusoe CPU is such that fanless operation is possible across a temperature range of 0 to +60C, and in relative humidities up to 90%.
This significantly increases system reliability.
Optional TV-out and audio functions are available if required.
TV-out supports NTSC, NTSC-EIA and Pal formats and provides composite video, S-video and SCART outputs viaPCM-231AV.
The computer has a footprint of 145 x 102mm and weighs 220g. Request a free brochure from Advantech (UK) ...
