Advantech has also taken potential networking requirements into consideration by providing Weblink with an 11MHz wireless LAN facility.
Connection of I/O and control devices is made via four RS232/485 ports and supported by an industrial standard OPC server.
The platform also has two USB ports and a single PC card slot to facilitate the connection of additional peripherals such as storage devices and modems.
