At 30Msample/s, the PCI-1714 is claimed to outperform all other analogue input cards currently available.
Dedicated A/D convertors are used for each of the four input channels, and a selection of trigger modes makes accurate sampling a breeze.
Instead of sharing a convertor, the PCI-1714 offers four dedicated A/D convertors.
This means that users can run the ultrahigh 30Msample/s sampling rate on all four channels simultaneously, making it highly suitable for dynamic and transient signal measurements; for example, LVDS applications.
Three kinds of trigger modes are available for A/D conversion: software triggering, internal pacer triggering, and external pacer triggering.
The software trigger makes it possible to acquire a sample whenever it is needed, the internal pacer triggers continuous high-speed data acquisition, and the external pacer triggers synchronous sampling with external devices.
The PCI-1714 comes with software for convenient auto calibration, and so no variable resistor trimming is necessary.
This utility is, like the drivers, available for Windows XP/2000/98.
A LabView driver will be available at the end of Q2 2004.
