Wall mountable node solution has high capacity
Advantech has launched the IPC-7220 industrial computer chassis, the next-generation wall-mountable industrial node solution with high capacity for ATX motherboards.
EmbeddedATX is compatible with the existing AIMB series rear I/O panel layout, and has the same dimensions and mounting hole locations as the MicroATX form factor, ensuring compatibility with existing specifications for reduced investments.
The AIMB-330 supports socket 370 Intel Celeron and Pentium III processors up to 1.2 and 1.26GHz, respectively.
It has been specifically designed with flexible dual panel support and I/O options in mind.
Different dual panel combinations are supported including: CRT and TTL, CRT and DVI, LVDS and LVDS, TTL and LVDS, CRT and LVDS, TTL and DVI, and DVI and LVDS.
The onboard Via CLE 266 chipset combines a fully integrated 2D/3D graphics processing unit with an efficient DDR memory controller to enable high quality digital video streaming, independent dual display, and smooth DVD playback.
Up to 2Gbyte of DDR 266 SDRAM is available through two DIMM sockets and the type II CompactFlash connector can provide additional memory or OS support for XPE, CE.NET or Linux.
The AIMB-330 offers an array of I/O options.
Six "high-speed" USB 2.0, plus two IEEE1394 ports and connectors provides plenty of high bandwidth throughputs.
MiniPCI I/O modules can be used for Bluetooth, modem, and Wi-Fi LAN capabilities.
The Type I, II, III, 32bit PCMCIA Cardbus connector provides additional expansion potential, typically for telecomms applications, and six COM ports maximise device connection options.
High-speed networking is also available, with onboard RTL 8139DL 10/100Base-T Fast Ethernet port and additional optional Gigabit port.
The AIMB-330's low profile and backward-compatible form factor allows system integrators to upgrade existing solutions quickly, thereby protecting existing investments and reaching the marketplace faster.
The AIMB-330 is available immediately. Request a free brochure from Advantech (UK) ...
