webXlive is a novel service that allows hardware design engineers to consult in real time with a technical advisor from Aldec about their current and future design verification requirements.
The real-time demonstrations are preformed over the Internet and are delivered to the engineers' desktops, providing an ideal platform for designers seeking education on the latest VHDL, Verilog, SystemC and SystemVerilog solutions that Aldec provides.
To use the free service, hardware engineers select from a list of 14 technical sessions.
These sessions fall into categories including: system-level verification, DSP applications, FPGA SoC applications and ASIC SoC applications.
Using webXlive, an Aldec technical engineer specialising in VHDL, Verilog, SystemC or SystemVerilog can develop concrete examples for the hardware design engineer and walk them through a typical solution - in real time.
"Aldec is committed to providing its customers with a convenient and efficient method for understanding the products it has to offer for system-level verification", stated David Rinehart, Director of Marketing at Aldec.
"The benefit to webXlive is that it is a real-time interactive educational opportunity - not a canned demo".
"This makes it an ideal method for hardware engineers to get answers to their current questions right at their desktop from a knowledgeable support specialist".
