Plastic connectors feature an easy to use design that is moulded to meet hands on applications across all industrial markets.

New from Amphenol UK, the Barracuda connector series comes as the result of major investment into technology to deliver high quality moulded plastic products to industry.

The Barracuda brand name will be recognised globally not only for the IP68 sealed and RoHS compliant plastic connectors but also for the easy to use design which has been moulded to meet hands on applications across all industrial markets.

The range boasts three styles of connector - inline plug, inline receptacle and panel mount receptacle - each with four choices of contact arrangements to suit all environments, from being submerged deep in water to being fitted on outside equipment high up on an exposed tower.

The three-way insert contains the earth contact and will carry 10V.

There are also four-, six- and seven-way inserts, and these will all fit into the one shell body size, allowing users to specify more contacts without a bigger connector.

There is no expensive tooling required in order to get started.

All you need is an ordinary small flat screwdriver to terminate the contacts.

Once terminated to cable, Barracuda can be tightened by hand.

The Barracuda is now in full production, and Amphenol has successfully sold through many distributors across UK and Europe.

Barracuda is making huge waves providing a high quality moulded waterproof product that won't even bother the fish.
