Baracoda RoadRunners - Bluetooth bar-code scanners - have been designed for two major professional categories: mobile personnel and those working in warehouses and enclosed premises.
The weight, shape and battery life of RoadRunners make them suitable for a multitude of mobile uses - such as parcel management, asset monitoring, maintenance and marketing - as well as for in-premise applications, such as in warehouses, for logistics, for data gathering, the entry and preparation of orders, stock management, monitoring of manufacturing and quality control.
The full range of RoadRunners Bluetooth readers allows mobile personnel to integrate a Bluetooth wireless bar-code reading function with a broad range of mobile devices using the full API/DLL supplied by Baracoda.

Besides, Baracoda RoadRunners scanners can be connected instantly to existing systems with no need to load software using the 'plug and scan' solution.
This concept makes possible the instant integration of a bar-code reading function by means of a Bluetooth-compatible USB or RS232 dongle.
Gerald Masson, Vice-President of the Traceability Division at Baracoda, said: "Today, with the launching of RoadRunners, Baracoda is the only market player to supply such a broad range of Bluetooth bar-code scanners for all types of uses - mobile or not".
"These products will enable us to broaden our activity as they are technologically and ergonomically suited to wireless applications in logistics, warehousing and transport".
The scanners are ergonomically designed, with a strong case and protective sheathing, and can survive several falls on to concrete from a height of up to 1.80m.
Baracoda RoadRunners scanners fit in a pocket and are easy to use in any position.
They can read damaged bar-codes and those in places with difficult access and the battery lasts for more than 30,000 scans.
Baracoda RoadRunners weigh only 140g and operations can be time-logged.
The RoadRunners range consists of two scanner models: CMOS 1D Linear (scanning distance: 5cm to 50cm), and 2D Imager (scanning distance: 5cm to 33cm).
Baracoda RoadRunners scanners are supplied with a complete range of accessories, including a PDA stylus and car charger, and are available in Baracoda local distributors.
