The British Electrostatic Control Association (BECA) is holding a one-day seminar on 28th April 2004 at The Marwell Hotel (opposite Marwell Zoo), Thompsons Lane, Colden Common, Winchester, Hampshire.
Theme for the seminar is working with BS EN61340-5-1:2001; BS IEC61340-5-1 and 2, which have been adopted as European (EN) standards for the implementation of ESD measures in electronic manufacturing, are now well established as practical working tools.
The event will provide an opportunity for those experienced in this field to update their knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) prevention using the Standard and will help newcomers to gain an understanding of the subject.
Presentations will include why ESD control is necessary, product quality issues, evaluating individual needs and choosing solutions, compliance, auditing, case studies and practical techniques and the return on investment.
The seminar will focus on the key requirements under the standard and provide practical guidance on the assessment of existing facilities, including demonstrations of test methods and auditing techniques.
Furthermore, a panel discussion session will provide a forum for delegates to discuss ESD protection issues with industry experts.
The basic cost is GBP 165 (plus VAT) per delegate (with discounts for group bookings), to include delegate pack, refreshments and buffet lunch.
Booking reservations can be made via the BECA website.
