Berkeley Design Automation is an innovative electronic design automation (EDA) company focused on the challenges that come with the increasing analogue/radio frequency (RF) content of today's semiconductor products for consumer and networking applications.
The company is delivering breakthrough technology to dramatically improve the design and verification of analogue, RF, and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs).
The company's first product has been adopted by more than ten of the world's leading semiconductor companies.
"We are extremely proud to be selected as a finalist for this prestigious award", said Ravi Subramanian, President and CEO of Berkeley Design Automation.
"This is recognition of our team's success to date in delivering innovative solutions for our customers' toughest analogue/RF IC design and verification problems".
The "Red Herring 100 North America" award is an important part of Red Herring's tradition of recognising new and innovative technology firms and their entrepreneurial founders.
Berkeley Design Automation and the other nominees were rigidly evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their ecosystem.
This unique assessment of potential, complemented by a review of the actual track record and standing of a company allows Red Herring to see past the "buzz" and make the list an invaluable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the industry.
As part of this tradition to honour innovation and entrepreneurship in the business of technology, Red Herring will again host "Red Herring Spring", a two day invitation-only summit for the CEOs and founders of the Red Herring 100 winners and finalists in Monterey, California.
The summit's C-level delegates will convene under the theme "The Pursuit of Disruption" to discuss major trends and opportunities and to explore partnerships, alliances, investments, and M and A activities.
