Batra joins advisory board

Naresh Batra, cofounder, President and COO of mixed-signal RFID semiconductor manufacturer Intelleflex Corp, has joined the advisory board of Beganto.

Naresh Batra, cofounder, President and COO of mixed-signal RFID semiconductor manufacturer Intelleflex Corp, has joined the advisory board of Beganto, software solution provider for demand creation and design win tracking for electronic components.

In announcing the appointment, Beganto's CEO Sunil Grover described Batra as a "serial entrepreneur", whose experience in high tech design and development, marketing, and P and L management will bring depth and breadth to Beganto's strategic planning.

Batra was CEO and cofounder of XaQti prior to its acquisition by Vitesse Semiconductor, VP and GM of Sierra Semiconductor, VP and GM of Brooktree (now Conexant), and spent 11 years as a department head at Texas Instruments.

Batra was recruited by Advisory Board Chairman and Beganto cofounder Masami Yamamoto, a veteran of Junglee before its acquisition by Amazon and Paypal before its acquisition by eBay.

Batra joins a number of other high profile leaders in high tech industries in helping guide the privately held Silicon Valley startup: Martin Cooper, ArrayComm, acknowledged as the "father" of the cell phone; Professor Harry Davis, University of Chicago Graduate School of Business; Shailesh Mehta, President and CEO of Granite Hill Capital Ventures and Chairman of Peach Direct, a private label credit card company; CS Park, Chairman of disk drive manufacturer Maxtor Corporation; Sachio Semmoto founder, Chairman and CEO of eAccess, and formerly Managing Director of Kyocera; and Kyung Yoon, Vice Chairman of Heidrick and Struggles International and one of the key drivers in its expansion in the Asia Pacific region.
