Bear Power Supplies' compact 30W AC/DC power convertor has been approved for use in medical electrical equipment.

The power supply recently passed TUV testing to meet UL2601-1, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No 601.1-M90, EN60601-1-2 and IEC601-1 requirements.

The single-output encapsulated modules are available with a range of output voltages from 3.3 to 48V.

They feature low leakage current of 0.5mA (maximum) and operating temperature range to +70C.

This makes them suited for long-term use in enclosed, compact medical instruments without fans or vents.

The 30W power supplies measure approximately 2.5 x 4 x 1in and are available in PCB-mountable, chassis-mountable and DIN-rail packages.

A mini-IEC input connector and detachable line cord on most models improves convenience and safety by eliminating exposed high-voltage traces from the system designer's printed circuit board.
