A new series of RF surface mount inductors from Gowanda Electronics is now available in the UK through BFi Optilas.

A new series of RF surface mount inductors from Gowanda Electronics is now available in the UK through BFi Optilas.

The RF surface mount inductors are designed for use in the lighting industry and applications where high voltage handling capability is required.

The HL 8527 series responds to the market's interest in surface mount options.

The HL 8527 Series is specifically targeted for use in starter circuits and electronic ballasts within the lighting industry.

The design of the HL 8527 enables them to handle the high voltage spikes associated with these applications.

The surface mount packaging is crucial for design engineers who prefer to utilise surface mount configurations instead of leaded circuitry.

The HL 8527 Series has an inductance (+/-10%) from 16 to 55mH at 79kHz and current ratings from 67 to 50mA DC.

Typical applications include RF signal circuitry in communication equipment, medical diagnostic equipment and industrial process control equipment.

The HL 8527 series can also be used in security systems, instrumentation, barcode and laboratory analysis, aviation and navigation equipment, telecommunications and cable TV.
