Sample kit brings voltage dividers to hand
BI Technologies Electronic Component Division has developed an engineering sample kit of its SOT-23 packaged precision voltage divider networks.
Resistor networks available in four package styles
Providing design engineers with an economical means of creating precision voltage dividers, TT Electronics BI Technologies is offering its series of precision thin-film resistor networks.
According to Frank Pipitone, Vice President of Variable Products for BI Technologies Electronic Components Division, the miniature potentiometers feature an extended resistance range and are easy to adjust.
"The top adjust feature provides design engineers with a convenient way to adjust the potentiometer over the 10W to 2MW resistance range", said Pipitone.
"The miniature package also requires less board space, making the devices ideal for applications where space is at a premium".
The 43 Series devices are ideal for applications involving cellular base-stations, night vision systems, set-top boxes and portable test and measurement equipment.
The cermet trimming potentiometers have a resistance range of 10W to 2MW, with standard tolerance to +/-20% and absolute TCR values to +/-100ppm/C; with power ratings to 0.125W at 70C.
Operating temperature range is -65C to +150C, and the devices are RoHS compliant.
Available in J-hook surface mount packaging, the 43 Series potentiometers are compatible with automated placement equipment, and are sold in tape and reel packaging.
Typical pricing for the 3mm multi-turn potentiometers starts at approximately US$1.60 in quantities of 10,000 pieces.
Lead time is from stock to 6-8 weeks.
