Sample kit brings voltage dividers to hand
BI Technologies Electronic Component Division has developed an engineering sample kit of its SOT-23 packaged precision voltage divider networks.
Potentiometers are easy to adjust.
TT Electronics' BI Technologies has recently developed a RoHS-compliant, 3mm multi-turn potentiometer with top adjust capabilities.
The nichrome resistive element is protected from moisture by a proprietary passivation material.
This passivation material provides stability and reliability to the nichrome resistors.
According to Mike Torres, Product Manager for BI Technologies Electronic Components Division, the precision networks feature an expanded range of resistance values from 10W to 1MW.
"The resistance range and variety of package styles makes these resistor networks ideal for a number of applications, including test and measurement devices, commercial avionics and medical equipment or devices", Torres said.
Other applications for the networks are instrumentation amplifiers, measurement bridge circuitry, data convertors and precision analogue circuits.
The networks are available in standard isolated, bussed, ladder networks and voltage divider circuit configurations.
The thin-film resistor networks also can be designed with custom schematics to meet individual customer specifications.
BI's thin-film resistor network technology is also available for use in hybrid microcircuits, as ceramic substrates and as wire bondable chips.
The networks provide excellent resistor precision and accuracy with resistor tolerances to +/-0.025% and resistor ratio tracking tolerances to +/-0.01%.
They have absolute TCR values to +/-25ppm/C with TCR tracking to +/-1ppm/C, providing superior performance over the military temperature range.
Package leads are sold with a matte tin finish for RoHS compliant networks and SnPb finishes for military applications.
Lead time is from stock to six weeks, with minimum order quantities at 500 pieces.
