The Model P260 potentiometer features a resistance range from 500ohm to 1Mohm and a power rating of 0.5W.

TT electronics BI Technologies Electronic Components Division has developed a 12.7mm rotary potentiometer with a life cycle of up to one million rotations The P260 panel potentiometer features a conductive plastic element with up to six gangs, and is sealed for dusty or contaminated environments

According to Richard Hsieh, Director of Product Development for BI Technologies Electronic Components Division, similar products on the market are only offered with a rotational life of up to 50,000 cycles.

"We offer the P260 potentiometer with IP66 ingress protection and have enhanced the contact spring to give it an extended life cycle while withstanding harsh environments", said Hsieh.

"In addition to its robust construction, the Model P260 features several detent and rotary switch options which enable for this versatile device to be used in a variety of position and control applications".

Typical applications for the Model P260 rotary potentiometer include joysticks, musical instruments, industrial controls, position sensors and board mounted panel controls.

The Model P260 potentiometer features a resistance range from 500ohm to 1Mohm and a power rating of 0.5W.

Standard tolerance is to +/-10%, with a maximum input voltage of 350V AC and a di-electric strength of 1500V AC.

Operating temperature range is from -55 to +125C.

BI Technologies will also produce devices outside these specifications to meet customer requirements.

The RoHS-compliant rotary potentiometer is available with both linear and audio tapers.
