Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Jul 6, 2007

Battery-powered capacitance meter allows the user to program high/low limits or use preprogrammed capacitor tolerances.

A new programmable capacitance meter from B+K Precision is ideal for capacitor sorting and grading.

The Model 890B is a compact handheld lightweight battery-powered capacitance meter featuring a large 4.5-digit LCD, 11,000 counts resolution and nine automatically selected ranges with full scale value from 1.0pF to 50mF.

Designed to meet the latest international safety standards, the Model 890B's dedicated chip and microprocessor allow the user to program high/low limits or use preprogrammed capacitor tolerances.

Optional software and cabling is available for PC based data logging and monitoring via a USB interface.

The PC based data logging capability allows the user to remotely monitor, record, and track problems and significantly improve maintenance performance.

Available for immediate delivery and priced at a low US $134, the Model 890B capacitance meter is the ideal device for measuring values, inspection, sorting capacitors', and testing capacitors against standard tolerances.

The meter's large 4.5-digit dual LCD can simultaneously display values and deviations from selected tolerances.

The unit can also sort on preset tolerances of 1, 5 and 10%.

The built-in chip and microprocessor allows the user to program unique values to sort specific circuit applications.
