Compact bench power supply provides 175W
The EX355, new from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), is a single-output laboratory DC power supply providing an output from 0 to 35V at 0 to 5A.
Low-pass filter meets digital testing requirements
The new Audio Precision S2-AES17LP filter, now available exclusively in the UK from TTi, meets the requirements for digital audio testing laid down by the Audio Engineering Society.
State-of-the-art zero-voltage or 'soft switching' technology virtually eliminates switching transients, and contributes to the efficiency and low noise performance of the units.
The complete range includes eighteen 600 W and 1 kW models with output voltage ranges between 0-7.5 V DC and 0-600 V DC and output current ranges between 0-1 A and 0-130 A.
Analogue programming is provided as standard, but three types of programming card are optional.
An isolated interface card provides isolated analogue control and readback of output voltage and current.
RS-232 (16-bit) and GPIB (16-bit) interface cards are also available.
Ten-turn front-panel knobs are used for high-resolution setting of voltage and current limit.
Front-panel digital displays allow accurate (0 5% + 1 count) voltage and current control.
Housed in a compact (87 ? 215 ? 472 mm), half-rack package and weighing only 6.4 kg, the units are ideal for both benchtop and system use.
Flexibility for use in a system is increased by the availability of front and/or rear connectors.
The combination of features and size makes the XHR range ideal for OEM applications where high power and wide adjustment of output voltage or current is required and a compact half-rack configuration is advantageous.
The universal AC voltage input operates between 85 and 250 V AC, 47-63Hz.
There is a 4 sec time delay between power 'on' and stable output.
Constant-voltage or constant-current operation is possible, with automatic crossover and mode indication.
Other features include overvoltage protection, current limit and thermal protection.
Prices for the XHR series are £1315 (plus VAT) for 600 W units and £1405 (plus VAT) for 1 kW units.
