The TSG95, now available from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), is a handheld video signal generator designed for use in the installation and maintenance of analogue composite video systems The TSG95 supports both Pal and NTSC standards

The TSG95 generator provides 20 user-selectable test signals in Pal mode and 16 in NTSC mode.

ID capabilities and up to eight messages, each containing two 16-character lines, may be stored for later recall.

One message may be inserted into the video test signal, and up to four may be cycled into the test signal in a continuous loop (displaying each message for 1-9s).

The message may be positioned anywhere within the safe-title area.

Creating ID text is fast and simple using the alphanumeric keypad, with no need for tedious scrolling through the alphabet with arrow keys for each character in the ID message.

The user just types in a message and verifies it in the backlit LCD display.

Thirteen audio tone frequencies (from 50Hz to 20kHz) or an audio sweep are selectable from the tone menu, which also includes three tone levels (0, +4 and +8dBu).

An audio click sequence can also be selected as an aid in easily identifying and tracing the left and right channels in an installation.

Up to four complete front-panel configurations, including menu selections, current text message and cycle information, may be stored for later recall.

The TSG95 may be operated from the AC adapter provided, from eight AA size batteries, or from an optional accessory 9.6V NiCad battery pack.
